Before I get to the actual content of this journal I am going to explain the process.
I am going to pick 4 DA-goers each week that inspire me and that are overall great artist. I will link some of their work and write a short description about my opinion about them.

So I figured I would make a journal to give recognition to all the people that really inspire me here on DA. Some need more appreciation and I would love to put their name out there to my little handful of viewers and hopefully you will pass on to your friends the artists that inspire you. Maybe even some of the people I show you here will be new names to you and potential favorites.

The following artists and DA-loves are in no particular order of awesomeness. The love is equal; trust me. ^^

- has a series of “various female clothes” that I always find really interesting. I am not really creative in the clothing aspect of character design so when I am drawing my own characters. To see her combinations really inspire my own ideas.

Here people are generally simple but there is such an intense attention to detail to backgrounds and various other things that the pieces just come to life.

is a friend of mine and an amazing cosplayer. Sometimes it feels like her list goes on and on of cosplays she has completed. She puts together/makes her own cosplays and she styles her wigs. She doesn’t stand for any less then perfection which leads her to redo many parts of her cosplays until she feels its right. After the cosplay is completed she always manages to get amazing shots of her work. She is an actress and an artist in the field. I have a lot of love and appreciation for the work she does and she is a great friend and fellow cosplayer.

was one of my very favorite DA artist from the start. She embraced a style that I wished to achieve; with in depth shading but still being anime-esk. I love her sketchy-merely drawn on a whim- pieces; justly showing her passion for art and constant ideas. Her OC’s are captivating and thoroughly explained in her Author’s Notes, which I personally always make a point to read. I find she is very open about herself as well as her art so I feel like I know the artist doing these pieces that I love so much. I hope some day to improve as much as I’ve seen her do through DA. (Oh yah; and don’t forget the yummy yaoi-ness)

is one of my best friends and an amazing artist. She not only inspires me through DA but in real life as well. We often bounce ideas off eachother and I know if I improve it is definitely due to her. She says that she is lazy but she gets pieces done and keeps herself working. I see her improve and improve and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with for our Senior Show :nudge nudge: . Her work is mostly asian culture oriented (a.k.a Hot Asian Boys). Her portraits are always so well shaded and she captures the subject but always makes it her own in someway. So please enjoy her work; because I certainly do.
